BodyFocused Telehealth Services in Bentleigh East

Telehealth - a proven and effective virtual alternative

Telehealth is a virtual alternative to face to face consultations. We know many patients have concerns about attending the clinic in person (which we completely understand) but we also want to make sure you are able to access our physiotherapy services if you need them.

Our physiotherapists are now offering video link up consultations through Zoom, and detailed exercise programs through Physitrak.

Physiotherapy as a whole has moved away from a reliance on complex machines and manual techniques, and more towards structured rehabilitation plans that the patient carries out themselves under guidance. This lends itself well to an online format, and there is extensive research evidence to support this. In fact, much of the research has found that the outcomes for telehealth are actually on par to face to face consultations.

And rest assured, if we feel that you do need to see a physiotherapist 'face to face', we will certainly let you know and there will be no charge.

If needed, a follow up video consultation can be arranged.
Hands on treatment feels great and does reduce pain, but rehab and exercise based treatment programs produce better and longer lasting results. Video link up consults combined with an exercise program can deliver those results.
You don’t need any specific equipment to get started - your physiotherapist can build a program using what you have at home. If you need anything else, like resistance bands or foam rollers, you can order these through the clinic and we can post them to you or you can pick them up.
